Summary:
Our client is a renowned compounder of polymers, looking to strengthen and further develop the purchasing team in their offices in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Your Tasks:
• Procurement of additives, fillers and pigments as needed and on time.
• Support to national and international suppliers, including risk management, price negotiations and awarding of contracts.
• Development of decision templates for inventory optimization and cost reduction.
• Creation of needs and market analysis.
• Controlling operational purchasing when implementing the supplier strategy.
• Conducting discussions with suppliers.
• Master and price data maintenance.
• Processing delivery disruptions and complaints.
• Reporting, monitoring and optimization of supplier performance in compliance with QM specifications.
Your Profile:
• Business administration degree with a focus on procurement or relevant vocational training.
• Ideally, you have relevant professional experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Negotiation and strong communication skills are desired.
• Very good office knowledge and confident use of merchandise management systems.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• High self-motivation, a structured way of working, proactive hands-on mentality and ability to work in a team are among your strengths.
