Key Account Manager Engineering Plastics (m / f / d) – GERMANY

Summary:

Sales and relationship management with globally active key customers and OEM’s.

 

Your Tasks:

  • Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through proactive planning and deployment with key accounts.
  • Knows and cooperates with key persons at customer organization in various departments such as purchasing, quality, material and product development etc.
  • Identify objectives, short- and mid-term strategies and action plans to improve each product’s sales and profit.
  • Manage the assigned customers and products to maximize company profit and meet company’s mid-term plan targets.
  • Collaborate with group sales members, technical staff, customer service and logistic team in recommending and establishing sales goals.
  • Perform sales activities and negotiate sales prices in consultation with supervisor and general manager.
  • Supports services with technical team regarding material evaluation and analysis.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly sales per customer and material with good knowledge of the market.
  • Report sales and new project activity on regular basis.
  • Monitor and analyze markets and competitors and prepare respective presentation regularly and on demand.

 

Your Profile:

  • Academic degree (university, university of applied sciences, etc.) in organic chemistry, polymer science, mechanical engineering or business administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience or training in engineering plastic or plastic compounding sector; or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Experience in key account management and/or business development.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English (business level mandatory).
  • Good presentation and documentation skills in German and English.
  • Assertiveness and strong negotiations skills as well as persuasive power combined with skilful diplomatic aptitude.
